Volunteer with us
Opportunities to excite, learn new skills and stay connected
About volunteering
Volunteers are important and valued members of the Museum of Power team, they help us support visitors, care for our collection and work behind the scenes.
Volunteering at the Museum is a great way to meet like minded people, improve your wellbeing and have unique experiences in a friendly environment. Whatever your previous experience, we can support you to learn new skills and help us provide our visitors with a brilliant day out!
You can choose from a wide variety of roles to suit your interests, talents and availability, from one off projects or events to our regular teams. Volunteer roles include:
- Visitor Experience Volunteer – Welcoming visitors and families to the Museum
- Learning Volunteer – Supporting school pupils to learn about science and technology
- Learning Support Volunteer – Supporting the organisational side of school visits
- Events Volunteer – Helping deliver our exciting and varied events programme
- Gardening Volunteer – Looking after our extensive grounds and gardens
If you are aged 18 or over, enthusiastic and keen to learn, have a look at our current opportunities below. If you are not sure where to start or need more guidance please email us.
