We’ve driven by here many times and always said we’d visit. Finally got the chance last weekend and it didn’t disappoint. A lovely little museum for the mechanically minded.

My family and I visited the Santa experience. On arrival, easy to get to and parking was easy. Met some lovely people in the car park directing us. Very jolly despite the weather. So many nice friendly staff to chat to as we went round 🙂 The coffee shop was cute, bonus that there was a children’s menu and colouring pencils. *Definitely needed another highchair, 2 was not enough!*
The santa experience included a ride on the steam train which was great fun! The kids enjoyed that, however the route we took could have been decorated for Christmas with lights, perhaps a few Christmas figures? Seeing Santa was disappointing as it was dark and crampt and a little underwhelming. A bigger grotto, with perhaps a window would have made it a pleasant experience for the children. The presents they recieved were a big hit and have been enjoyed daily since we visited!
The museum – wow. There’s so much to do and see. Absolutely would return to ride the train and see the museum.

The new cafe was awesome. Doggies allowed which made it even better. AANNDD the gardeners where having ‘banter’ with each other and all said hello – a nice change to see people working, enjoying themselves…kinda ‘made it all the more special’ tbh.

Lovely museum, reasonably priced for a family at time of visit. Kids loved all the large working displays and also the arts and crafts tent which was included in ticket price. Recommend if the kiddies love trains, going on a Sunday when the miniature trains are scheduled to run, best to check on the website prior to going. All in all, well worth a visit with a lovely cafe on site also.

The Member Checker Functionality:
•    A new “Membership Checker” role has been created that has no access to any admin area on the website nor it can edit it.
•    Reception Staff and the entrance gate employees need to be added or updated manually.
•    The remainngh ‘Admin’ system works the same way. (admin/membership checker has the right to the system)

Members will receive a PDF membership card (this is not a PDF wallet version. This can be added/set up as an add-on)

USERS:
Users can be added and the role: ‘Membership Checker’ selected

On the PDF is a QR code, (currently this is embedded in an HMTL e-mail page only) this can be scanned on presentation by the member at the reception / gate entrance and scanned from a mobile phone by a registered user. (the user has to log in with their credentials to access the scan identification/approval process)

PDF Tickets (now Wallet Plus – available only in Tickets Plus)

The ‘Events Page’ uses a free ‘Events Calendar’ plug in.. – The developer also supplies an add-on that creates the digital wallet tickets.. For this we need two plug ins:

2- Event Tickets (Free)

3- Event Tickets Plus (Premium) $149 an annual subscription.. no ongoing monthly charge for the Digital Wallet service..

The premium plug in gives the ability to create a digital ticket – When a customer makes a purchase, they will automatically receive a digital ticket that will be e-mailed to them and they can save it to their digital wallet (on iPhone and Android)
