Events Volunteer: Engineering Enthusiasts

We’re looking for volunteers who are friendly and welcoming, and who want to help visitors have a great day out at the Museum. Power Up Sunday is a regular event where we bring history to life and visitors have a chance to experience the machines at work, including the awe-inspiring water pump, the magical model village and the ride-on miniature railway. You might want to volunteer at one Power Up Sunday event or a few of them, for a whole day or half a day.

The Museum of Power reopened to the public in 2024 after a £1.9 million redevelopment. The Museum runs a busy events programme to animate its building and grounds, provide entertaining experiences for visitors and generate important funds for the Museum charity.

This is a great opportunity for someone who only has a short amount of time but wants to do something enjoyable and make other people smile at this regular event for the local community. We’re looking for volunteers who enjoy working with the public and are able to welcome visitors of all ages and backgrounds.
